The Surry Century is a yearly ride put on by the Peninsula Bicycle Association every September. It's great fun and well worth the $6 for the support and food.
The ride starts just across the street from the Surry House - a well known local restaurant that serves local food. Items like peanut soup and Smithfield ham are on the menu.
The ride consists of three loops - one 50 mile and two 25 mile. They
all start and end at the same place so parking is easy. The ride is
almost completely flat with very few rolling hills.
