Colonial Parkway

One of the favorite rides by visitors to the area, the Colonial Parkway is a nice shady spot to cycle. It's a wide road with little traffic. It is however, a bit bumpy since the pavement is an aggregate material - not real pavement.

The map shows two places to park. Either the Colonial Williamsburg Visitors Center in Williamsburg, or the Visitor Center in Yorktown. Either is a great place to start. It's ten miles from Williamsburg to Jamestown and thirteen miles from Williamsburg to Yorktown. So a round trip from Yorktown to Jamestown and back is a nice 52 miles.

Be sure to stay single file on the Parkway. The police are pretty picky here and will pull you for not staying single file.
